Dragon's Breath

The project area was 28 acres, tucked nicely away from nearby residences to maintain neighborhood integrity. Dragon’s Breath was developed with agrivoltaics in mind, and will host sheep upon it’s construction completion to preserve agricultural production on the land. Beyond the continued agricultural use, Dragon’s Breath will also accommodate a pollinator friendly garden to increase pollinator habitat and feeding grounds for essential and endangered pollinator species.

It will produce enough energy to power about 1,000 Illinois households each year of its 40 year life-span.
