SMS Messaging and Consent Policy

This page describes how Solar Provider Group communicates with landowners by text message (SMS) in the United States, how you provide consent to receive those messages, what to expect, and how to stop them at any time.
Who is sending you text messages
"Solar Provider Group" is the brand under which Solar Provider Group LLC and its North American operating subsidiaries operate. Text messages sent in connection with our United States solar leasing program are sent by Solar Provider Installations Inc., a California corporation, under the Solar Provider Group brand.
Who we send text messages to
We send text messages only to landowners (and their authorized representatives) who:

We have first identified through publicly available information, and

Have spoken with one of our representatives by telephone about a potential solar lease on their property, and

Have given us clear verbal consent on that telephone call to follow up by text message at the number we are speaking on, and
-
Have had that consent logged in our internal records, including the date, time, representative, and phone number.
We do not send text messages to anyone who has not gone through this process. We do not text people based on a property record alone. We do not text people who have not first spoken with us. We do not text people who have not given verbal consent.
What kinds of text messages you will receive
Text messages from us are conversational and one-to-one. They include things like:

Responses to questions you've asked us

Requests to schedule a follow-up phone call

Status updates on a lease negotiation in progress

Coordination during the surveying, permitting, or installation of a solar project on your land

Routine communication during the term of an executed lease
We do not send marketing or promotional content under this program. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any lease or other transaction with Solar Provider Group.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies depending on what stage of the relationship we are in. Most landowners receive a small number of messages per month, with occasional bursts (for example, while scheduling a site visit or finalizing a lease).
Cost
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Solar Provider Group does not charge you for messages we send.
How to stop receiving text messages (opt out)
You can stop receiving text messages from us at any time by doing any one of the following:

Reply STOP to any text message you receive from us. We will send a single confirmation message and will not send you further texts from that number.

Tell a representative on a phone call that you would like to stop receiving texts. We will record the opt-out and stop messages immediately.

Email us at privacy@solarprovidergroup.com with the phone number you want removed.
Opting out of text messages does not prevent us from continuing to communicate with you by phone, email, or postal mail about a lease discussion in progress, unless you ask us to stop those channels too.

We do not share your mobile phone number
Solar Provider Group does not share, sell, rent, or release your mobile phone number or your text-messaging consent to any third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Information you share with us by text message is treated under our Privacy Policy and is used only to communicate with you about your potential or active solar lease.
Carriers
Mobile carriers (including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and others) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

We may update this page from time to time. The "Effective date" at the top will reflect the most recent revision.
